The Associated Press won two 2023 Pulitzer Prizes - the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for its exclusive coverage of the siege of Mariupol and the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography for its unfiltered look at the horrors of the war in Ukraine.

NPPA’s 2021 Best of Photojournalism contest

AP photographers were honored with 19 National Press Photographers Association awards including best of show and first prize in the breaking news and feature photography categories. Photos of the Beirut explosion, racial justice protests and the COVID-19 pandemic are among the winning images.

2020 Overseas Press Club awards

Reporting on the harrowing perils faced by migrants around the world and bloody protests in Haiti earned AP journalists two prestigious awards from the Overseas Press Club of America.
